It’s so annoying because this series had the potential to be five stars! But I feel as though she tried to give too many characters the spot light. There was already an extensive cast and she was adding more this far along! I sometimes got confused about which characters were with who and as though some of the character development was lost because even she couldn’t keep her story lines straight. Other than that I think it was a good book! Could have been a bit shorter but that’s like most fantasy.
3.5 ⭐️ I was so excited for this book to come out but this fell a little short for me especially after how amazing the first three books are. The side characters honestly outshined the main characters in my opinion.
Also, why were the last couple of pages of Loren viewing Darien’s memory of when he tied his life to hers when we’ve already read that?? I feel like it could’ve been summarized so the last pages didn’t feel pointless. Didn’t really leave me going feral for what’s going to happen next like the other books.

If you love fantasy, romance, found family, a story that gives you ALL the feels. Characters you absolutely fall in love with. You NEED to pick this series up!!!!
The ups and downs of this one had me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to put it down because I had to know what happens!

Bro… this book had me losing it. I went through every emotion possible and then some. The pacing? Unrelenting. The tension? Absolutely insane. The emotional damage? Immediate and personal. Every time I thought the crew was finally going to catch a break, something else hit and I was right there with them, heart pounding like I was part of the story.
At one point I literally had to close the book and say out loud, “BRO WHAT THE ACTUAL…” because there is no way anyone should have to go through that much in one chapter. And the ending? My jaw is still on the floor. Kayla really looked at my emotional stability and said, “nah.”
The characters are messy, raw, and so vividly alive that every single choice had me yelling at the page. I laughed, I cried, I cursed everyone out and then hugged them in my head. The emotional stakes are brutal and somehow the quiet moments hit just as hard as the chaos.
By the time I got to the last page I was pacing my room like, “are you kidding me right now?” This story is devastating, addictive, and completely unhinged in the best way. If you want a book that makes you feel like you’re in it with the characters, panicking, screaming, and praying for just one moment of peace that never comes, this is it.
