I honestly had no idea what to expect outside of knowing this was dark romance. This is my first time reading H.D. Carlton and it didn’t disappoint. Was it packed full of triggers? Yes. So be wary of those and check before indulging.
Grumpy sunshine to the point that bully tropes were at play. From start to finish I was fully immersed and damn… it got hot in there 🥵
I’d definitely recommend this to fellow dark romance lovers. Enzo and Sawyer’s story is one that’s going to stick with me, and something I see myself revisiting and reading again.

Additionally, the very uncomfortable tension between all characters caused by the lack of communication and very tiring personalities - I was actually tired and bored of their behaviour, which was always the same, very monotonous and there was no reflection at all when it comes to their relationship.
Very very spicy and detailed sex scenes description but the plot and character development were very poor.

TBH I don't get the hype about this one because WTF did I just read? Honestly, this was not what I was expecting. I had a hard time getting through this one and the only reason I decided to finish it was because I needed answers to all of the questions. But the answers were so unrealistic that I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. However, I did not believe the romance between the couple and I could've used about 200 fewer pages.
