umm I don't really care about parental struggles but I gave it a try because some of my favorite books (cerulean sea, secret society of irregular witches, barakamon, etc.) feature the upbringing of younger children and the whimsical delight of found family. this was not that, it was just a mom with major unregulated anxiety dealing with incredibly mundane issues. I couldn't even get to anything about the pta or prophecy. FMC sucked, her husband sucked, most people she met thru the lens of anxiety apparently also sucked, and we've seen no real personality or interaction with the child either. so why would I keep reading

Maybe now that I'm finished, I can stop singing "Harper Valley PTA" to myself. Would not be mad if this became a series, I liked this town.

This book was adorable. It was cozy and not too deep but deep enough where I wasn’t longing for more or confused. Loved it. So cute.

The plot helped this book a lot from what could have been a 3* read. I did really love when the MC found her people, that was satisfying. Not sure I'd try this author again though.
