This novel is a cute read! It kinda reminds me of Fredrick Backman “Anxious People” but more rom-com style. The multiple POVs and storylines keeps you on your toes and pretty entertained throughout this certain dress’s journey. You can go from southern girl making it big in NYC to a private eye’s tailspin of a case to movie star’s publicity and love life dilemma in a matter of minutes. Some plot points were better than others and the large cast of characters can be overwhelming. Yet, as you follow many characters and many stories, “the dress”, as the book calls it, is intertwined with each character’s plot in a different, meaningful way.

Super cute read. Loved the different stories. I wish there was more about the young Muslim women in Paris!

This was a really sweet novel, I feel Jane. L Rosen made the characters relatable. I love how all the characters and story lines tied together. This is the perfect curl up by the fire and relax with some tea book.
lighthearted

This book is lots of fun! Many characters take turns narrating different chapters, and their stories are all intertwined around one black dress.

I received an ARC from NetGalley.

Very enjoyable read.

I loved this book more than I have words to describe. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. This book reminds me of those cheesy ensemble rom coms that I pretend to hate but secretly love. A patchwork of characters all commingling because of the perfect little black dress. Rosen has a way of making you truly care about all of the characters even if they only have a few chapters in the book. This book was nothing that I expected but everything I need in a book right now. I will definitely read her first book, even if it is a YA, and look forward to more from her.

This book was so cute! I love easy fun reads like this one. It also being less than 300 pages helped too! This book describes the power of clothing - particularly a little black dress.
