Talon's book was okay for me. I just was not into Sunshine. Not that there was anything wrong with her, but she wasn't my favorite character.

The story line was complex with the introduction of quite a few more characters like Styxx and some from the Celtic pantheon.

My favorite parts were with Zarek. He was an interesting character, and he was one of the things the kept my interest enough to finish the book.

Vane also was the most intriguing character. I hope I get to see more of him.

Kyrian soooooop wish he was real he would be fun to talk to, so would Amanda and Julian aaaaah I love these books

3.5/5

To tell you the truth, I almost put this one down in the first 75 pages. I didn't really like the main characters, Talon and Sunshine. I didn't care about Talon in the last book, so I had no desire to get to know him better. Sunshine was...eccentric. Read: weirdo. I mean, really, who leaves their keys in the fridge by accident? And some of the things she did and said in the beginning were so outlandish that it just irked me.

I usually don't mind sex in the least, but I just wasn't feeling the sex scenes in this one - I ended up skimming over them. Not to mention the fact that it was guilty of instaluv. Yes, that's right. Talon had just met her and already he was talking about how she 'stumbled into his world and turned it upside down' and 'gave him feelings he didn't understand.' Oh, brother. Page 65, folks. No joke. This was the main reason I almost DNFed it, but I sure am glad I stuck to it! The parts without Talon and Sunshine were well worth it. I mean, there was a reason they were drawn to each other, but still.

The supporting characters really made this one. The parts involving them were what kept me reading. Nick, Acheron, Zarek, even the were brothers Vane and Fang. They were all fantastic and I loved them! Zarek was a bit of a psycho, but I still really liked him and can't wait to read his POV in the next one. I also got a little peek of what Ash is capable of, and ohhh boy I'm dying to hear his story! What did he do that was so bad?! My curiosity is seriously piqued.

The world itself is brilliant. The background of Daimons stemming from Apollites, relationships with the Gods, and the Dark- and Were-Hunters. There's a lot of depth and thought to it. Even though I didn't like Talon and Sunshine's part of the story, the Dark-Hunter world is addicting and I want more!

Favorite character: Still Nick!! Oh how I love his sarcasm. ♥

I’ve struggled to decide how to review these books, ultimately choosing to put it off for later (or never), but I must say, this depiction of Artemis blasphemous.

I received this book as a Christmas gift, this was my intro to this series, and I really enjoyed the setting. I loved the characters, Sunshine and Talon's relationship development was, at the same time, very complicated and extremely simple (I won't explain why because spoilers.)
Overall, it was a fun and easy read :)
