The author must have a terrible sex life and really should not bother to try to put sex into her books, the books are so much better in the ones she keeps the sex to a minimum. Being forced to go through the crud to get to the rest of the story in all of her various series is seriously annoying and here sunshine character was nauseating. The narrator did not help in the slightest and her horrific celtic accent made understanding her even worse. This book had a lot of potential and it was nice to fill in some spaces since my library won't let me read them in order

Read my book review of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Night Embrace. This is a paranormal romance with vampires, gods, and magic.

This was my introduction to the Dark-Hunter world. I guess for that is my preferred book. I devoured it in one night. Talon and Sunshine are wonderful together.

I really liked this installment of the Dark Hunter saga. We see more of Archeron and his potential, the power he can wield. We learn more about the heritage of the Dark Hunters, and Artemis is a blood drinker!

I think Artemis drinking blood is my favorite part of the story. It's an interesting twist. It totally goes against the Artemis of Greek mythology, but seems rather fitting that the goddess of the hunt drinks blood. You know, symbolism and all that.

So this is the story of the Celtic warrior Morgan falling in love with the reincarnated soul of his wife. I really liked her grandmother is this one. Grandma is just so awesome and tough its fantastic.

This book carries straight on from the events of 'Night Pleasures' and Kenyon maintains continuity very well. The 'heroine's' of her series are done well and Sunshine Runningwolf is no exception. These aren't the kind of women to stand in the background while the men defend them, they take a central part in the action. Although the ending is a bit too convenient I still enjoyed this book and look forward to more in the series.

Talon is a Dark Hunter, a human who sold his soul to the Greek god Artemis to gain vengence against those who murdered his family in medieval times. In return, he is immortal and spends his days protecting humans from Daimons, which are basically vampires. As long as Talon keeps his emotions under control, he is a lethal killing machine.

Then he meets Sunshine, a slightly flakey artist, who saves him after he almost gets run over by a Mardi Gras float. The problem with Sunshine is that she stirs up feelings in him that he hasn't felt in close to 1,500 years. And this isn't a good time for him to start letting his emotions get the better of him. Two old gods are planning an attack on the Dark Hunters defending New Orleans in an attempt to regain their godhood.

I found this book in the romance section and was recommended to me since I like Laurell K. Hamilton. Honestly, this book was much better than a lot of Hamilton's latest books. Yes, it is a romance so there is some sex in it, but at the same time (unlike in Hamilton's books) there is a complex and detailed plot going on. The book was good but the ending felt contrived. I wasn't thrilled with that part. Even still, it was worth the read.

I would give it a 3.5. I didn't like it quite as much as the previous ones I have read but it was still a fun read.
