This book was fast paced and entertaining. I liked it and will look for another Allison Brennan real soon.

Engaging and gut wrenching in a great combination! Nothing groundbreaking but entertaining nonetheless
this is a very different feel & format from book #1 IMHO. I also think this would have been far better as #1 (with the first being #2) since this book dives into the backstory of what led Regan to help a podcaster in #1. This book is almost like a “prequel” except chronologically it’s not…
Overall it was fine. Too much redundancy, confessions/explanations/typical boogimans that caused eye rolls… but I was fairly engaged. I do like Regan (which helps). I also genuinely like the narrator (I’ve read many books with her) but i am still not fond of this narrator for Regan. She did a good job with other characters though, except for the other lady boss. That was a weird voice

Don't Open the Door follows the ex-US Marshall Regan as she attempts to see justice for the murder of her 10-year-old son. At the same time, she must clear her ex-husband's name as he is wanted for murder. This was not my favorite Allison Brennan novel. #2 in the series vibes. I think Regan is a great character and this installment didn't do her justice. Hopeful #3 makes up for it.
