If you’re searching for a romance that’s as laugh-out-loud funny as it is emotionally resonant, Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez deserves a spot at the top of your reading list. Featuring inside jokes, a rescue cat with no butthole named Pooter, the pet witness protection program, the meaning of VILF, and so many mustard puns. Jimenez is a master of blending real-life struggles with swoon-worthy romance, and this book is a perfect showcase of her talents

This book absolutely wrecked me. I had tears for most of it but at the same time loved the characters

DNF @ 134 pages

1 star feels too generous. This felt like if the author of My Immortal hired an editor and a publisher but even that would have been better than this.

*****Trigger warning for mentions of animal abuse.*****

The cat being named Pooter.

The fucking ACOTAR references.

The insta-love. They met for what, 15 minutes in a professional setting and then… he just asked her out? And she said yes? On page 18? When their first meeting was full of animosity?

The dialogue. The constant use of excessive letters. Yesssss. Whaaaaat. Ewwwww. Maybe that's petty but Jesus CHRIST. Use an adjective.

The excessive trauma. Why was it necessary to add that Xavier's father constantly drowned their unfixed dog's puppies? It added absolutely nothing to the story other than to make his father into some kind of villain. Which he ALREADY WAS.

By page 134 I still felt I knew nothing about Samantha and Xavier. There was no personality. And why was Samantha such a bitch to her brother!!!!

Too much time skipping. We did this. Then we did that. I feel like key character development opportunities were missed and that maybe the characters would have had ACTUAL personality if the book didn't skip around so much.
