The gloomy and rainy weather that took over summer all of a sudden these past days was a blessing. It helped creating a very cozy vibe that fitted the narration perfectly.
I struggled to get into this book at first because I couldn't find the appeal of the characters that were introduced. However, slowly but surely, the story took off and turned into a lovely reading, with a very whimsical vibe and a tale about second chances that warmed my heart.
The writing is fitting, straightforward and descriptive when it needs to be, less dispersing than The Spellshop in my humble opinion.
I wasn't expecting to like this book *this* much honestly, the first one was a very cozy book that kept me company but in this one I found myself more invested in the characters and their destiny. I'm glad the author decided to gift us a new beginning for Terlu because it was heartbreaking thinking about her forever entrapped in a life-not-life.
I hope one day we'll be able to read a potential reunion with Caz π

I really wanted to like this book, but it was a tad boring, and drawn out. I really enjoyed The Spellshop by this author, and thought this woykd be as good, with a bit of character and place crossover. The spellshop is by far a better read.
