Richard Paul Evans has done it once again. The Michael Vey series might be one of my fav series of all time. This one is definitely my favorite of the series so far. Even though I have read these books before, I do not remember them being this good!! I loved how we got to see Taylor and Michael’s relationship blossom in this book. The prom part might be one of the best parts of the whole book. Also, can we talk about the quotes in this book?!?!
Taylor: “You would leave the cause for me?”
Michael: “You are my cause.”
Like excuse me??? Why are these fifteen year olds literally making me cry??!!
Another great thing about this book was Nichelle’s redemption arc. I loved how she “betrayed” them but actually ended up saving Taylor’s life and the rest of the Electroclan. I was shocked when Michael found out that he actually wasn’t talking to his dad and that he was talking to Hatch. I totally forgot that Tara could do that. Speaking of Tara, I wish she would have been fed to the rats. But that’s besides the point. Anyways let’s just say I LOVED this book!!!

In number 2 and 3 it seemed as though Vey was becoming increasingly more violent. Death was passing and expected. This one was a bit more refreshing than the last 2 books. However, there is a number 5 on the way...cliffhanger.
