I can see why people like this book, I really can. But the repetitiveness and the dragging descriptions, plus a few loose ends are not really my cup of tea. I felt that the angst and sadness felt a bit plastic from time to time. I wouldn't recommend it to people who have similar taste in books to mine, but I wouldn't say it is not worth reading.
The end is great but it gets there so quick that it's hard to get attached to the characters for me. Especially in such a grim scenery where death feels inevitable.

Cormac takes you into the mood and feel of this world very well. The tension of pure survival is palpable. Hopeless and depressing landscape, but I love after-the -fall sci-fi, so I don't mind. Sweet father/son love story. Great book.
