Jesus Christ that was an incredibly stressful read and I do mean that as a compliment. What a master class in drawn out suspense

I found The Road to be about average for a book of this nature. The writing was good, but the story was uninspiring and predictable.

Beautifully written, however a repetitive and plot-less story. I enjoyed the journey down the road as much as I would have if I had been there. Nothing to note, it’s a very bleak and hopeless book. I’m not sure how it makes me feel, but I can say I finished it because it was a short and easy read, not due to my investment in the plot or characters.

Wasn't a fan of this. It just went too slow for my liking. Maybe it was because I tried to read it while working in the archaeology field for five weeks, but I just couldn't focus on it and I ended up getting frustrated with how slow it was progressing.
