I think this book might have broken me, in a good way. Sort of like an episode of Law and Order, where things don't work out the way you think, and nothing is perfect. So good.

Once you get past the self-congratulatory writing style, copaganda, and “characteristic” misogyny it’s an interesting plot. 50 pages of worthwhile story, 350 pages of unlikeable and uninteresting characters.

Not my usual style, but incredible compelling and gripping for all 600 pages. Well-written and mature authorship in terms of leaving parts unresolved. Stayed up late many nights just to keep reading.
