I’d give 0 stars if I could. Almost DNF. Really awkward pacing and it was really rushed in some spots. The main characters are absolutely insufferable. Way too much Jesus talk and the smut was trying way too hard

I found this book on booktok and I'm massively disappointed. The only reason I didn't give it a one star review was because I felt like the author depicted purity culture pretty well. Other than that the relationship felt rushed. She's trying so hard to be her own person, but because she is "nice" she still listens to the people around her. Honestly, she's got no backbone. Very bland character imo. The ML? Preaches about loving the FL but sleeps around with other women. There are barely any other characters included except for immediate family and/or 1 friend. Plot was lacking, spicy scenes were short and too fast paced imo.

Reading this book was the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life. Sometimes I really hate booktok for doing this to me and for reasons that only God knows, I let it do this to me every time .

Had great themes and stuff that needs to be addressed as far as religious trauma, but it repeated a lot of the same thing. "purity culture" must have been said 50 million times throughout the book
