Livvy is realizing that purity culture is not worth it. The shame at being having sexual desires isn’t worth it. She’s taking control of her body and her life with no submission except in the bedroom.
She asks her best friend of five years to take all her firsts. Her first kiss, her virginity. She doesn’t want to go in to her senior year of college a virgin. She trusts him. He’s safe. She’s in love with but she believes there is no way he can feel the same. Boy is she wrong.

i would beg someone to not read this book.

I really enjoyed this book. As an ex-evangelical but still practicing Christian myself, I felt Mason did an excellent job highlighting the toxicity of purity culture while bringing light to the people who believe in God but not purity culture. The dialogue and spicy scenes felt extremely realistic and relatable. This was an enjoyable and down to earth read while also addressing substantial issues! Loved it!
