This was a quick read. I think I enjoyed it even though thinking back, I can’t really come up with a single thing that I liked about this book. Its just a book to read if you’re really bored have nothing to do and desperately need to waste your time, then you can it a go.

Everyone in this book was annoying. Livvy is so weird. She is the biggest doormat ever and when she becomes self aware, she says she’s gonna stop and work on herself, which is good. But when Cole is begging her to stay and desperately telling he loves her, when moments ago she confessed she loves him, accepting this moment she thinks will make her a doormat. No bitch you want it to but wtv.

Cole is just a possessive manwhore. He sleeps around with anyone, but can’t even handle someone talking to Livvy. Livvy also is always comforting and apologizing to Cole when he is just being fucking ridiculous. I just felt misogynistic energy flowing out of him through this whole book. Especially the “sexy” epilogue, it’s just Cole being his annoying ass sexist self and yelling at Livvy because she was out when it was dark.

Got scammed by the author’s intriguing TikToks about this book. I wish it was half as interesting as she made it seem.

A quick read but time I won’t get back.

I really appreciated what this book was trying to do. I was also raised it purity culture so I was really excited to read this one. I think there was just a few things that really didn’t work for me.

First I never really enjoy the friends to lovers trope when they’ve known each other for a really long time. I really enjoy reading the start of relationships so when I’m put in the story when all of that has already happened and we’re in the middle of their relationship I just don’t connect with the story as much. Second, I really don’t enjoy when the two characters are pining for each other for so long but the MMC, who is in love with the FMC, still gets to sleep around and have fun with no consequence while the FMC basically sits and waits. I know that was kind of the point (for the FMC to wait) but it still annoyed me.

Anyways if those aren’t things that bother you then I think you should give this book a try!
