Les advierto que si van a leerlo, las primeras NOVENTA PAGINAS no van a entender nada. Van a estar más perdidos que Zaraki de Bleach o Zoro de One Piece

DID NOT FINISH

I struggled to keep reading. The plot seemed slow. and I felt the world was difficult to understand. It didn't seem like other magic books that explained things. This kind of threw you in and said, "good luck"!

I may revisit it later. For now, there are better books out there that need my undivided attention.

I was charmed from the moment I first picked up the book.
adventurous

Ok honestly? LOVED this. It's like Harry Potter meets Oran Host Club? It feels like a book you'd buy at your middle school book fair and proceed to DEVOUR in a day. So fun and adventurous! Was it anything new? Not totally but I think that's what made it such an easy read/listen!

The vibes of the cover don't do it for me I wish it looked more like the cover of Inkheart or something fun like that!

Actual rating: 3.5 stars

My ARC has the old cover, and I kind of like it more.

In this intricate fantasy, two people are brought together by a singular destiny to defeat the Bane, a powerful mage who has held the Domain captive under his tyrannical rule. Iolanthe Seabourne is rumored to be the elemental mage who will free the Domain, and Prince Titus believes it is his destiny to guide her to the eventual battle. However, as their lives become inexplicably intertwined, Titus begins to wonder whether or not he will be able to use her after all. While a great novel for fantasy fans, it is so full of facts that it can become confusing for the reader to keep track of. Nonetheless, the rich history, complex characters, and engaging plot will keep the reader looking forward to the next book of the trilogy.

It took a bit to understand what was going on but the book keep you interested in finding out what was going to happen. Also ends in a way that makes you want to read more in the series.

On reflection, I had some quibbles about this book but none while I was reading it. Even on reflection, I think the characterisation of Titus and Iolanthe and how she ultimately signed up for his cause was excellent.
