It was a fun book but I couldn’t really get with the main characters. My favorite part was the snowstorm. It was fun to hear about how Zoe saved them and what they had to do to make it out. Their relationship felt nice there. The end was too quick to me but I guess it had to be! Fun holiday book though!
Zoey, a Hollywood Christmas Romance movie director, goes to Chelsea, Quebec to try and get a film permit and the one person standing in her way is the gorgeous and charming mayor and tree farm owner, Ben.
It was cute, and i think it would make a really great Hallmark movie but as a book it left me a bit unsatisfied. It was a slow burn and insta-love at the same time. It felt like a slow read with a quick ending. I'm not big on epilogues and this book really needed one to me. This may be a personal problem, but i wished there would have been foot notes with french translations. context clue help but it would have made reading it a bit smoother. The ending tied everything together but it left me asking "why" to a lot of it.
Really cute but wanted more. Would make a great holiday movie though.

**I read an advanced review copy of this book from Netgalley**

This book had me all in my Christmas feels!! It was a bit slow to get into initially but then I couldn’t put it down. By the end it made me want to jump on a train to Quebec and go stay in a small town for Christmas and celebrate all their traditions. I had a silly grin on my face reading it, definitely had some cheesy parts but it was well done for a Christmas romance.
This is a hallmark movie in book form and I loved every second of it. I’m obsessed with Zoey and Ben and of course Simon. Such a cute cozy Christmas read.
Also, I listened to this one and the narrator was great! No way I was going to pronounce all that French correctly.

My god this was awful. The writing was terrible. I ended up skimming so much of it because it was pages upon pages upon pages of just snow. Literally snow. It felt like it was written by a teenager. A woman in her 30’s who worked her way up in a film company going completely jealous of some super old ex?! What??? Immediately no. Skip this one.
It was fun reading this on almost the exact same timeline occurring in the book! Very cute, festive read. And an adorable dog!?
