I really, really loved this book. The writing is so beautiful and immediately sucked me in. McCann weaves characters together and captures their distinct voices. I found myself wanting more time with each of them. Thoughtful and well crafted

This is a 4-star book with beautiful writing and interesting characters. A collection of diverse characters & their stories are told on the day that Phillipe Petit walks a tightrope wire between the twin towers. We eventually see the characters cross paths in different ways through the stories.

I gave it 3 stars for me as it didn't hold my attention as well as it should have. I am not sure why, and I would recommend it to others.

Immensely beautiful. I loved the form as well as the content. The first quarter was too painful for me to take in large doses, though the beauty of the writing still took my breath away. After that I gained speed. I listened to the audiobook and all the performances were magnificent except the last part which I didn't find up to the same standard. I am happy to have found a new favorite author. Gorgeous book, dazzling writing skill, a thoroughly memorable experience.
