I love CJ Tudor, but this fell so flat for me. I listened on audio, there were plenty of different voice actors and accents etc, but I struggled to keep track of all the characters. The premise was an interesting one, but the plot wasn't striking enough, and as I said, too many characters to keep track of, that I just didn't care what the outcome would be. I decided to skip listening to the final 20 minutes of the audio.

This book was okay. Some interesting ideas going on but marred w odd turns of phrase and poor characterisation.
The sarky dialogue and tropey characters come off as mean instead of campy and fun. The thing that saved this from being a total loss was a fairly interesting third act reveal but in turn that was spoiled by worse fourth act one.
I gave C.J Tudor a go and that’s enough.
