Very much a YA book as the characters are high school-aged. I have some predictions for the characters, and it will be interesting to see how things develop

Good plot

Good plot and interesting story though the author could stand to have some kind and copy edits done. It's not terrible but I thought at first she wasn't a native English speaker but her profile says she's from Michigan. Overall it's good, but it could be great. Three and a half stars.

Wow

Wow that ending was brutal! I cant wait for book 2, to find out what happened next and to see her relationship with they guys grow some more!
Thank you for your amazing work Katie May!!!

A pretty solid read. Kinda gave me "Mama" and "Sinister" vibes. There wasn't a lot of romance for it being touted as reverse harem. It's definitely more creepy that it is sexy. I didn't really feel chemistry between any of the characters but that's not why I'm reading this book. Hopefully the "slow burn" will pick up from a "no burn" soon. But for a horror novel, I'm digging it.

Thank you Sharon J for recommending this book to me. This was an fantastic read. I did have to put the book down because of school, but I really hooked for the first page. It was a bit creepy for my taste, but I also found it interesting. The characters were fantastic. I really thought Cami was an interesting yet compelling character. She was adopted, and she used to talk about The Shadow Man. I really thought Tyson, Ian, Kieran were interesting characters as well. There is no romance yet in the series, but possibly in the second book we will see more. I love the way Katie May writes her books. I am interested to see how book 2 will turn out. Overall, an incredibly interesting read.

Okay, off to a good start. I mean it is confusing as all get out, but there is a dark atmosphere and super interesting mystery. Who is the Shadow Man?

Speechless

This book takes you on a mind loop. I have so many questions but also am worried about Cami. I want to know what Cami will do to protect her family and her friends. I want to know which of the boys she talks to will end up being her boyfriends. This series is going to be an emotional rollercoaster because the first book definitely was. I absolutely loved the suspense and cannot wait to see what happens next.

I usually don't read horror, but I wanted to give this series a try as I really like the author, and OMFG! The story has definitely creepy vibes. Cami just moved to a new town and a new school. Here she meets some guys who all have an interest in her, whether it is because they are attracted to her and because they want to investigate the house where she lives as it's said it is haunted. After multiple ritualistic murders are committed, Cami starts to realise that they are all connected to her, and the Shadow Man, the creature who took care of her in the past might be back.

I'm ashamed. Deeply ashamed. Once upon a time, when I had just discovered the Reverse Harem genre, I participated in some giveaways and one of the e-books I won was this book. Just like most books it stayed on my shelf for way too long. It was only last week, when the paperbacks were discounted, that I got the physical book and got so curious about the story that I felt like I had to start reading right away.

What an amazing rollercoaster of a ride was this. I started reading yesterday, right before dinner. I just wanted to make a start, but I ended up reading more than half the book already. It was simply impossible to put the book down, to stop reading. I really had to force myself, a little helped by my growling tummy, to quit reading to have dinner. And when I finished the book this morning I was on the brink of just grabbing the second one to continue the tale.

The atmosphere in this book is simply amazing. It's hard to know who does what, what happens exactly and what's going on. It's easy to know that whatever is going on is creepy and that danger is lurking around each and every corner. There were quite some times I had the chills rushing down my spine and I especially loved the way the threads of life and the life stories of all the people who had died in the house were told.

I also really loved the characters. Our heroine is amazing, mostly because there is just enough we have in common to connect with her and to root for her, while she also has a dark side and some quirks making her absolutely and truly unique. And although her guys have not shown all their true colors yet, I'm quite intrigued by the glimpses of their lives we have seen. For some reason I believe they might be more involved in this story as they seem.

I can't wait to dive into the next one!
