This book is so darn cute!!!
If you love friends to lovers, you’re going to devour this. Monty & Lark are so adorable together. They’re best friends who quote Star Wars daily and like to nerd out together.
I would definitely say Monty had golden retriever energy. He knows all her favorite foods and keeps stock of them in his apartment. How cute is that?!? His love for Lark was so pure & sweet. I absolutely adored him as a love interest.
I liked that Lark was a bit nerdy too. She struggles at the beginning of the book with a big decision but I liked that she learned to put her needs first. I enjoyed her character a lot too.
The steamy scenes were great, especially everything leading up to the finish line

Where do I start!? I really loved Dan "Monty" and Lark's book! It's by far my favorite so far out of the Vancouver Tridents series! This series just keeps getting better and better as it goes! I think Julia did an excellent job at writing their romance!
Dan is such a wonderful man. I absolutely love him and all his cinnamon rollness! He's such a sweetheart, loving and very thoughtful of Lark and others. He's an all around great guy. He befriended Lark after he found out she had a boyfriend. They became good friends and over the years developed a solid friendship. She was a trainer at the Vancouver Tridents and he was their number one catcher. I also loved Lark. She was funny and caring. She realized being with her boyfriend wasn't what she wanted anymore so they broke off their engagement and relationship.
Once Lark realized that everyone but her knew Monty's "true" feelings for her she couldn't believe she didn't see it sooner. It was so great to watch her develop feelings for Monty and truly seeing him. I loved it! They both get a surprise and work together to make it work. They both love each other and it's them forever.
I felt the ending was a little rushed but I think Julia did a good job wrapping it up. I think it's because I wanted more of Monty and to see them have like a bunch of kiddos haha!
Oh! I can NOT wait for Rhett's book! Ah! Definitely check this book and series out!

Another sport's romance TikTok convinced me (with ease) to read. This one though I didn't really like, not because the writing was bad but because the abstract made it seem like it was going to be a different book... the entire book felt like the HEA epilogue of a couple we almost know.
Why did they have to make this man on the cover look like that, someone put him out of his misery.

“Catch Her Heart” is the third book in Julia Jarrett’s sports romance series Vancouver Tridents, and it follows best friends Dan Montgomery and Lark Miller as they become something more.
Dan and Lark’s relationship had so much depth, even before they were romantically involved, and I loved how obviously they cared about and respected each other.
Dan was such a sweetheart. He was head over heels for Lark and had been for a long time, and I was so glad she was eventually able to see that.
As for Lark, I was proud of her because she got out of the unhappy situation she was in and found something better with Dan.
All in all, I would definitely recommend to fans of sports romance and/or the best friends to lovers trope!
This was a good read for me. The writing flowed well, as it always does from this author. Daniel and Lark made a good couple, I'm just not sure that golden retriever hero is my favorite kind of trope. I was glad that the relationship between Lark and Baron wasn't drawn out, it was resolved fairly quickly. On the other hand, Lark and Daniel's relationship was pretty slow burn. Daniel is a really sweet guy, and he wants to make sure that Lark is okay with their relationship before it goes too far. Personally, it felt like they had already been dancing around it for years, it just finally became official. I liked the secondary characters in this one, the MCs friendships helped them navigate through the rough patches. I was happy to see Lark be able to find some kind of relationship with her mom. It may not be perfect, but it was a start. The ending was super sweet, and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book in this series!
