Oh, that was an absolutely lovely ending to this series. It's well worth reading the other four books in the Mallorean (and the Belgariad), if simply to read this last tale, and learn how it all finishes, and where all the lovely characters end/begin their stories.

The end to the mallorean, and just like the Belgariad, good wins, surprise suprise. I didn't expect anything less and was happy with the way it was written.

This is my least favourite of the two series, but in saying that it really is splitting hairs.

Its pace just isn't up to the other but the characters and the story still pulls you through a solid fantasy.

DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNE.

This series is RIDICULOUSLY misogynist, so don't let your kids read it until they've read The Order of Oddfish first, or maybe The Hunger Games - something where it's a chick kicking solid ass from start to finish.

I'm basically exhausted from being so infuriated, so I might need to reread Anathem or Melusine again, as a palate cleanser.

Totally dug it - I intend to find his other books. His way off getting you attached to his characters wins me over every time.

i hate having to watch friend groups separate after large life-changing adventures despite knowing it has to happen
