Ugh. I really wanted to love this book. I contemplated DNF’ing at about 50 percent. The pacing was a little off. I really loved the first part of the book, but the middle was weird and the build up to the smut was just meh. I wasn’t attached to the characters at all, and found their motivations and core personality traits to sway. There were also a lot of side characters that became difficult to track. The ending felt rushed. There were several plot holes. The writing was forgettable. Overall it was just meh. I won’t be finishing the series.

The pacing was so bad and i feel like i never had time to get attached to any characters? The twist at the end was good tho so I’ll give the second book a shot to redeem it
