Literally a throne of glass rip off. I wouldn’t have minded as much if I weren’t reading them simultaneously. Maybe. HATE a corny nickname, it always ruins it for me.

I really enjoyed this book. I really liked the main character, Prisca, and her arc over the course of this story. I liked her dynamic with the love interest, Lorian, and I am very intrigued to see how their relationship develops over the rest of the series. I also really liked the worldbuilding and I am eager to know more. I also found this book to be well-paced despite being on the longer side and the climax had me on the edge of my seat. I immediately brought the sequel after finishing this book and I can't wait to read it!
