I was very unsure of how to rate this book. It was enjoyable to read but I did not feel it answered my questions. I think this book gives a great outline for what you need to be thinking about but you're still gonna have to find the answers on your own. The beginning parts about the why of it all are great for someone who hasn't figured that all out yet.

I’ve worked in podcast for years making money off of it myself and helping others do the same. This book is all the info you need.

No, I don't want to start a podcast, but I love Kristin Meinzer's podcast, BY THE BOOK, and so when I had the opportunity to listen to her narrate her own audiobook, I decided to give it a try. I love Kristin's voice and I love her practical, detailed advice for potential podcasters.

I liked this book. It’s fun to hear the advice that is given. If you’re not interested in starting a podcast it’s a waste of your time, but if you think you want one it’s worth listening too. I loved the narrator (author) it’s really well read. The content is super specific in some parts, but really skims on topics i was interested.

I loved this really simple how to for podcasting. I do want to start a podcast and found the book really helpful for thinking through what I will have to plan and what kind of podcast I want to create. I really enjoy Meinzer’s voice and style too.

Loved the conversational tone and how this was organized in easy, short, step by step chapters...very good introduction to the podcasting world that will definitely build your confidence!

Too much pep talk, not enough concrete tips and advice. This could've been an article or blog post.

Grabbed the book because I love Meinzer’s podcast “By the Book” and I’m a newer podcast producer who does a lot of teaching and I’m always looking for more information to pass on to my students/clients.

I enjoyed the book. I think the sections on show development and the insider info on working with networks and other industry elements are most useful. A lot of the information here won’t be useful to the average Jane on the street starting a podcast (like “Hire a Producer”), but is still valuable to help podcasters understand the bigger field they are entering.

This book is kind of like taking a podcaster friend to coffee to pick their brain: lots of great high level advice that helps you know what you need to research further and lots of good tips you won’t get anywhere else...but not many specifics on the actual hands-on making process.

Overall, I would recommend the book to anyone planning to start a podcast or who is in the early days of their show.

The book is very well written and Meinzer’s humor and kindness shines through.

This book was quite interesting but not to the point where I would be recommending someone read this.
