Lots of pretty solid advice, some common sense and some from years of learned experience, on getting started on a podcast. I've been contemplating starting one myself, and this gave me lots of good thinking points and check list ideas to work with. Definitely purchasing for my library!
I absolutely love So You Want to Start a Podcast. The book was a quick read with the information broken down into understandable, enjoyable pieces. Kristen Meinzer's voice is just so charming and I love the social justice aspect of the podcasting startup process.
Incredibly helpful. Well written and organized, great balance of detail and examples without over complicating. Read audiobook by author, great pace and tone. Loved the tactical ideas and tips. Helped me realize this is more a "dream" than a materializing interest for me at this time. Surely will revisit this book if I ever get closer to wanting to do a podcast. Thank you!
currently thinking of starting a podcast with a friend and this has given me a lot to think about!
Audiobook- great format for this topic. Interesting overview of the behind the scenes aspects of creating a podcast
inspiring
Practical advice for starting a podcast. I wish there was more on how to conduct a good interview, how to script/outline properly, and how to become a good host. She goes over all three topics but it doesn't feel like enough for someone who's truly new to the format. As someone who's not new to the format but new to creating podcasts, I found the book helpful and encouraging (albeit cheesy at times). Looking forward to enacting her advice and see where I land!
This book is great! It gives good insight into podcasting in an easy to read format. There are inspirational moments, as well moments of reality and truth. I would definitely recommend this book to those contemplating starting a podcast.

Very engaging and a quick read. This is the kind of help and advice that people on the go need for those of us looking to add another hoppy or potential career change to the list!
Meinzer discusses her own experience with starting and maintaining podcasts while weaving in her signature humor. For someone starting a podcast, I was not only reassured as we seem to be on the right track, but also picked up a lot of helpful pointers that I might not have realized otherwise.
