This is a fast read full of gorgeous illustrations and little words. Flamingos are one of my favorite animals so I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the art. It’s a perfect, wholesome read!

This is such a sweet story of a girl who goes to visit her Lao Lao (grandmother) on her own. She finds a flamingo feather and her grandmother tells her the story of the flamingo from which the feather came.
The pictures are absolutely gorgeous and there are few words. You do not need them though because the pictures give all the feels!

Everything by Guojing is amazing and beautifully done. Her artwork is wonderful and brings the story to life. I love how few words are needed to tell such a heart warming, sweet story.

Un gran ejemplo del poder de la imagen para contar historias. Casi sin palabras, Guojing nos cuenta la historia de la relación entre una niña y la abuela que va a visitar durante el verano, quienes comparten una conexión a través de un joven flamenco. El uso del color para separar el mundo más real del fantástico funciona muy bien y los dibujos, aunque simples consiguen transmitir una gran emoción.
