This book had the full package. Slut shaming, intense misogyny, harassment and stalking, assault, everyone punching each other, and revenge p*rn, and itās all so romantic according to Penelope Douglas

I love this author and have read all her books bar this series. It's one that I see a lot of people rave about so was excited to read bully.
I liked the racing background. That was new for me. The supporting characters were well written and definitely planted the seeds for their stories to come. I think
Penelope douglas is always really good at doing that.
The mmc had an emotional story but I found his turn from hating her to living her a but too quick and convenient.
I think the issue of reading any authors more recent works and then going back to their earlier works, ot highlights how much their style has matured and evolved.
I love penelope douglas and will read anything she writes, but I would recommend other books over this one.
That said, I will continue with this series.

This book really didnāt do it for me. I guess Iām just not a fan of the bully trope & find it really hard to route for the love interestsā relationship. I see this book as one I may have enjoyed more when I was in secondary school. I couldnāt stand Jared for most of the book & how heād always try to make it seem like Tate was the problem. Tate is not perfect by any means but she didnāt deserve that. I couldnāt help but roll my eyes every time Tate sympathised with Jared or would hold on to the person he used to be. Anyone willing to go to the lengths he went to embarrass her did not deserve a chance. Also, the intimate scenes with them werenāt great. I think I enjoyed the tension between them before they had sex more than once they did and after. Iāll be honest, I can see myself reading the next book in the series for the sake of continuity & fomo rather than an actual desire to read it & enjoy it.
