Sweet to read a book by the lovely GR Mom! Tender, easy to get through, and reaffirming of the bond we’ve always had with our dogs.

I've been following the Golden Ratio for quite a while (probably around 2016/2017) and it was so lovely to read this book. Not only to hear about some of the old squad and remember their different quirks, but also to hear about how the science of dogs really work. As a person who has been trying not to get a dog because I'm not in a place where I cannot have one, this made it much harder to not get a dog. I'm looking forward to when I am able to bring a furry friend in my life and this book gave me some tools for when I'm able to. So good!

Highly repetitive as if the authors needed to pad the page count.

note to self - do not read shortly after your dog dies and do not read nonfiction to start the year.

This book definitely reinforced my obsession with dogs and made me feel less insane about the grief I’ve been feeling about my own dog passing. I will say it felt like a lot of the information was repeated a few times, so after awhile it felt redundant.

A good book for dog lovers and people who are considering getting a dog!

I’ve been a fan of the Golden Ratio squad for a long time. Jen’s profession as a scientist takes her passion and love a step further, providing scientific insight on why the bond we form with our dogs is truly a positive and genuinely loving experience. It’s a science! She and her writing partner Stacey really delivered on this fantastic book.
