I liked this a lot more than I expected! I'm so curious what the sequel will focus on, because this could easily have been a stand-alone.

Turn your brain off enjoyable as someone who is not the target audience. The plot keeps moving, which makes this a fast read since there are generally no lulls in action.

Ending kind of sucked (as in the last like 2-3 chapters) since it's unnecessary sequel bait, but not the worst I've seen.

A little bit of Sherlock Holmes…. Not quite hunger games as the title reminds you of… but definitely captivating. I couldn’t put the book down.

I really enjoyed this! Was a little predictable but overall lots of fun! I can’t wait to see what the second book has in store!

Wow! Such a fun fast read! I loved this. Definitely was YA with the standard teen angst and inability to speak up for oneself as to be expected, but the story was fast paced, interesting, and kept me hooked. I knew it was a trilogy, so I knew there had to be something to keep it going, but the twist was great.
