So, WOW.
First of all, Team Grayson 100%.
I can't count the number of times this book made my jaw drop.
I need the second book!!
The backstories and all of the characters were amazing.

I gave it 3.75 stars and rounded up to 4. I enjoyed it. It was an easy read and I’ll probably read the rest of the series at some point. The last chapter was the best one for me!

Between 3.5-4 stars

Honestly I don’t know how I feel about this book. More could have happened but I admit, the ending got me.

The Inheritance Games is the first instalment of the YA trilogy, full of mystery and suspence. True, I was expecting more riddles and games, when the book focused more on playing with the love interests, but I can't say that I wasn't engaged.

The book manages, furthermore, to keep things interesting till the very ending, leaving often some chapters on a cliffhanger to make things even more thrilling. However, the conclusion of the mystery was lukewarm, kind of a letdown. But the second book promises to give more background to the mother, so there is still hope. Also, the way it brushed off some plot twists felt too convenient.

Finally, I really enjoyed the main character, who was well writen and feisty. The writing style overall was spot on for the story.

This has been sitting on my shelf for years and I’m so glad I finally picked it up! (Physical TBR problems)
I love a book filled with riddles and puzzles and mystery, and this definitely delivers. It’s VERY reminiscent of Knives Out (film) and since that came out first it’s hard to say this didn’t take direct inspiration from that, but it is different enough that you probably won’t see the twists coming. My real gripe here is that the characters, with the exception of Avery, are all so flat and one dimensional. All of the brothers are the same person, I couldn’t keep them straight. Apparently there’s a love triangle? I didn’t even know those were two different brothers lol. I know there are more books so hopefully we get to know them a little better as we move forward.
