Damn. Finally over.

This book started S L O W. But the other reviewers promises it would come better after the job happens. So i struggled to the said part. It's true, fortunately.

Not much i can say about it that other reviewers haven't already said. The book is indeed a bit different from other mainstream crime thriller. Alex Cross or Jack Reacher we already have, are we in need for a Billy Summers too? Turned out we do. Instead of a cold blooded killer, King made his Billy Summers more humane. Effective, but humane, with traumas and regrets. And also, King writes best when the main character is, or aspires to be, a writer.

So all in all, while not being a crime thriller everyone expects, this is still a good story.

It's not a thriller or crime story, more like an action story. But very deep, very intriguing. It will stay with you for weeks after finishing it, sneaking into your thoughts. Genious.

My jaw is on the floor. This was my first Stephen King book but it won't be the last one that's for sure

A bit disappointed with this one, I felt cheated out of the story. Typical King novel with so much detail - however, even with all of that detail and side stories, there is no way you would have seen the ‘twist’ that explains the whole premise for the story. Because it happened in a vacuum and you only heard about it because of a conversation someone had when they thought they were going to die. Oh by the way didn’t you know there was an entire parallel story happening that I didn’t write a word about?
I felt cheated out of the story- felt like an easy way to wrap of the novel and that all the build up was for nothing.
Two stars because I liked the build up and the writing was good but the story fell through for me.
