Oh my gosh, this was such a cute and cozy summer read. I really identify with Viv and her desires and struggles. It was so hard to read that ending, even when I knew it was coming from pretty much the get go.
Such is life, I guess.
Fern is an incredible friend and coworker, and u fell for Potroast almost right away. And even though the book is rich with lovable characters - by far my favorite was Satchel. He is the perfect subversion of the throw away tropey fantasy monster from DND. He is hilarious, and his ending made my heart melt with happiness.

The only reason I liked legends and lattes were the characters. And this book got rid of all of them, combined with no plot there wasn’t anything to connect to. I wish authors didn’t try to continue a series to make more money or piggy back off one success. It’s completely fine to leave a book as a stand alone after a good success 😩🤦🏼♀️

This a cute and cozy little story about making a place for yourself, finding friends (and love) in unique circumstances, and renovating a bookshop (which was my favorite part).
I can see why so many people like it. I loved the characters, I adored the loving descriptions of the bookshop, and the action at the end was well done and interesting.
It's just so slow. So much slower than I like in a book. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the page length, it felt like every word served it's purpose, but I like a book that's over the top and silly or blazing with action. This just wasn't for me.
