This book was so. damn. boring. Not even the insanity at the end could save this book. This book was good for one thing and one thing only - it put me to sleep. If you read my reviews, then you know I listen to audiobooks before I go to sleep because I can take anywhere from 2-3 hours to fall asleep and around 2 hours is a good night. So I came up with a plan half way through this snooze fest. I started my night off listening to another book for around an hour. Then, I switched to this one, and asleep within a half hour! It was uncanny.

I don't know that I can continue with this series. A shame, as I do enjoy the show, but as annoying as he is on the show, they are both a billion times worse in the books. Ugh.

Thought it was pretty darn extreme way to make your detective stand out but ended up being intrigued and read the whole series. One after another. And then what usually happens when I do this happened. Which is to day I am sick to the death of the series. Not sure why I do this. Put it down to complete lack of self control. Was not enthralled with the main relationship but the actual solving of the cases was nearly always well done.

So far, my favorite in the series. Lots of twists, right up to the end.

Not the strongest in the series so far, this book has the team heading to North Carolina. I feel that some of the hillbilly stereo-type was overdone and while I applaud the premise of it, I'm not sure I really buy the blooming romance between Sachs and Rhymes.

I wondered about the 416 pages when I started, but nothing is what it seems to be. Well researched. Twist upon twist.
