Miss Marple if she were a snobby social climber, it’s a delightful historical mystery with a morally grey female lead and fun tidbits about 20th century Polish society. It was hard sometimes to keep track of all the names and titles but it was still fun.

I couldn’t connect with Zofia at all and I struggled to care. I don’t know if something was lost in translation, but she was very unlikeable and my interest in the plot was not enough to suffer.
