I was entirely absorbed by this book 80% of the time, the other 20% was spent shouting at Tolstoy for talking about himself (Levin) more than the title character. There’s only so much I want to know about farming and his finding god, I realise there are two narratives in this book, but in my humble opinion Anna’s is far more entertaining and her final moments are disappointingly brief.

Still absolutely beautifully written.
