Estava muito curiosa para ler este livro e por causa disso criei uma grande expectativa em relação a ele.
Eu gostei muito do livro. História e personagens interessantes. É um retrato realistico da Rússia de muitos anos. Apesar disto admito que é um livro difícil de ler uma vez que o autor foi muito detalhado e extensões alguns assuntos chegando mesmo, na minha opinião, a ser aborrecido.

Girl, this was crazy. Honestly, kinda interesting how everyone but Anna was more fleshed out and developed throughout the story. Like a good bit of it is focused on Levin. But still, I enjoyed all the drama and the themes of family, loyalty, betrayal, social issues, and class. I just loved how everything weaved in together and also was focused on other characters too.

i wanted to love this sooo bad but it was just okay. it started off strong, the first 300 or so pages were really good but i found levin’s parts extremely boring and hard to get through, specially when kitty wasn't the focus. might reread in the future and see if my opinion changes

The descriptions of charters' inner thoughts is phenomenal. I loved seeing the way so many thoughts are still relevant today.

A classic for a reason! But a more accurate title would have been “Constantine Levin” as more time is dedicated to his (inane) ramblings on God, farming techniques, and animal husbandry, than on Anna’s far more complex and beautiful story line.
