I firmly believe I missed whatever the hype is for this book. Audio book: 35 hours of listening and it was painful.

Although it did provide insight into books written during its time. It had full character development for everyone BUT Anna. Not sure why the title is her name, It should have been named Levin or whatever the farmers name is.

For years i had been meaning to read this, called the greatest novel ever written. It is in fact great; so great that you cannot skim any of it, you have to read every sentence carefully; it’s not a book that goes by quickly, but the love stories are interwoven with philosophy, politics and of course a view Russia in the 1870s. Phew. Did it.
