The whole time I was thinking, this is soooo easy, I’ve got it all figured out! I would’ve put it down because I thought it was going to be predictable. I went back and forth thinking i new exactly what was happening, but I was wrong! Great storytelling!

There are so many subtle ways we women subconsciously protect ourselves throughout the day; protect ourselves from shadows, from unseen predators. From cautionary tales and urban legends. So subtle, in fact, that we hardly even realize we’re doing them.

This was definitely a fun read, and  it was more fun than I’ve had with a mystery/thriller book I’ve read over the past 1/2 year or so (weirdly enough…). It wasn’t the best book, and I definitely don’t love it per se. But it gave me that serotonin hit I used to get from Criminal Minds, which I was so desperately missing after the last few seasons of CM went awry…yeah I won’t talk about that. There was great suspense, good thriller/mystery, and good characters & character development, and a good setting and build up.
