Ooof, this was so good. There were several twists that I did not see coming. The writing style is very engaging and advanced.
The beginning half of the book was a little bit slow and drawn out for me but I see now that it was necessary background and character development.
I docked half a star because the substance abuse of the main character, especially given her profession, was just a turn off for me that didn’t add to the story at all.
I am so sad that Chloe and Daniel didn’t end up getting married after all. When she went to Sophie’s house in the end and Daniel was there, I really thought they would get back together.

I honestly just loved this book! I found the flow to be perfect and I loved how descriptive the author was without being too distracting. The story line kept me gripped and I surprisingly liked how it ended. I will have to read more books by this author.

Cliche. Boring and flat characters.  Predictable story.

I felt like this book made precious little sense. Plus, it was so long-winded in parts and just plain heavy-handed in others, as if a neon sign were flashing over the red flags, red flags that the protagonist still somehow manages to miss. I think a lot of this has to do with my fatigue over unreliable female narrators who abuse drugs and/or alcohol, and the lengths books featuring them often need to go to in order to make the plot sound even somewhat feasible. Instead, they annoy me, and every time I find myself frustrated with how dense the female characters come off as being.
