Honest to god I would give this more than 5 if I could. Becka Mack is hands down my favorite author to read. I can’t even put into words how much I enjoyed this book.
Quotes
“It’s what you do with that fear that matters. You can spend your life pushing away the people who want to love you because you’re afraid one day you’ll lose them. Or you can cling to it. The love, the happiness, that full feeling that makes you realize how truly empty you were before them. Life is hard enough as it is. There’s no reason for any of us to do it alone.”

I’m giving this a 4 out of respect for the series. Something did not hit right for me. When did Carter get so annoying? And when did everyone turn into horny 16 year olds? Idk. The found family vibes, when they were being serious, is still the best of the best. I cried a lot. But then sometimes I was like, “what the fuck?” Like not everything has to tie back into a sex joke. Was weird. And not really typical for the age group, I guess? Idk, whatever.

General thoughts: I enjoyed this but it wasn't my favorite of this series. I enjoyed the beginning but found myself laughing at the end. Overall, Lennon and Jaxon are fun and charming and have great banter. This is a good book but nothing spectacular.
POV: first person, Dual POV
Narration Voice (mainly for first person):
-In Their Head (feels natural, more casual but can flow, never feels like we're being told a story, but experiencing it through their POV)
What Worked For Me: Most things! Like I said enjoyable, but nothing groundbreaking.
What Didn't Work For Me: nothing
Do I recommend?: yeah I guess I think other books in the series are better.
