I really didn’t expected this book to be what it is. Super creepy.
Be prepared to be confused.

It’s not bad but could have been told much quicker. Many moments that are supposed to feel suspenseful fall flat because it has all felt way too drawn out. I think the tenseness often relies on the switches between the future and the past, almost like one serves as a commercial break to the other just before it gets good. This works, but it feels a little annoying sometimes. Overall, it’s a decent, quick read with a darkly satisfying ending.

If I wasn't a completionist, I would  not have finished this book. The characters were not fleshed out as much as I would like and I didn't find the concept as interesting as I thought I would.
