I would give this book overall of 4.5 stars. It is my favorite genre. A very cute read. Perfect for a vacation or a cozy moment with a book. The only reason why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because I usually reserve that for books that leave a lasting impression or Impact me in some particular way. This book was just perfectly easy-going, which is what it needed to be. I enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed the story. My only criticism would be some of the reveals at the end felt brushed over. Overall, would highly recommend.
P.s. the movie was kind of dumb when compared to the book. Great casting but bad directing.

I really wish I had read the book first.

I did see the movie first but, as always, the book was better.

I re-fell in love with the characters and loved how the story moved along. Literally a good clean feel good HAE with great characters and a fun plot.

Katherine Center has definitely become one of my favourite comfort authors and I can’t wait to read more of her novels.

What an uplifting story! It’s about Helen, a year after her divorce Helen wants to take charge of her life and signs up for a three week survival course and finds out her Jake, her brothers best friend is attending as well.

After a series of events, Helen and Jake agree to act as strangers during the three weeks but Helen changes the way of seeing things and starts focusing on the positive things that happen to her instead of pondering on all the negative. This lets her start feeling happiness and enjoy all the little things.

It helps you realize that the way you look at things in life really helps you in experiencing happiness and allows you to be hopeful.

Honestly I really enjoyed this book, the romance aspect was more with learning to love yourself then romantic love, but with a b-plot of romantic love I do wish it was more there, especially in the epilogue. But I would 1000% recommend it. Helen’s story arc was incredible and I love how she found herself in the wilderness.

A decent 3.5, I think.
