I love this duology. I would’ve given this five stars but the ending with Sabine felt like a cop-out.

Brilliant!

I'll be honest.. after the royal wedding. I joined in with the royal family love story train and found this author and this series. I loved Adeline from the beginning. Although her family and advisors doubted her, as a reader-I didn't. I may have questioned her a few times, but I think her best characteristic is her heart, and I am so incredibly glad it lead her to the choices she made. I was bummed at the end of the first book (I didn't realize it was a series) but it was totally worth the wait!

DNF’d at 36% I really wanted to like this but I’m not having much luck with Jodi Ellen Malpas. Her writing style and her characters made it very difficult for me to get into this story. I especially did not like the hero in this book so I wasn’t able to root for the romance.

Addicting in the end

The book has its ups and downs in terms of how hard it is to put down. Keep reading theres a few twists 👸🏼 once I hit the second half I couldn't put it down

The conclusion to The Controversial Princess, this book had some interesting twists and turns. I really enjoyed this duology more than I thought I would and would definitely read more by this author.

I wasn't keen on the heroine at the beginning of book 1 but by this book I was on her side wondering how she was going to work out how to be with Josh.
The story is well written and draws you in.
There are so many twists and turns and deceptions which really works as a background for the Royal family.
HEA.
No cheating though there are accusations.

Fuck me running sideways with a chainsaw, this is amazing. It's going to be hard for any book to follow this. JEM is brilliant, I swear. It's like time disappears when reading her stories. Like suddenly you look up and you find out it's an hour later. I loved the struggle of keeping a secret so deep it hurt. I love Josh. I love Adeline.

“And you should be calling me your fuckin’ king. How does that sound, Your fuckin’ Majesty?” Josh, everyone. I love this.

“You can be your country’s Queen, baby, or you can be my queen. You can’t be both.” Cue my heart breaking.

I was not expecting to like this as much as I did! I really got invested in the characters and their story. The chemistry is out of control and high energy throughout the whole book. Without revealing too much, I love that this is a duology. More might too much and spoil its perfection. Part 2 is jam packed with plots and twists without going too far and losing me.

Great ending to this series. Again some things were easy to see coming but others still surprised me.

And I highly recommend the audiobook- the change from an English accent to a American male (slightly southern) was wonderful.
