My attention was captured from the beginning. Alyce is definitely a complex and deeply flawed individual and I’m excited to see how her story continues to evolve. I loved the romance in this book. Great read overall.

I really enjoyed this one, the world Alyce described was thought-out and organized in a way that felt very realistic, with the Grace Laws and all, which made it feel all the more dystopian. It's also amazing to read a sapphic fantasy love story, we always need more of those. I was going to give it a rating a bit lower than I did, but then the ending happened and... wow that was so not what I expected, I can't wait to read the second book now!
