A lovely and romantic take on Sleeping Beauty. I appreciate the ways the story was flipped around and mixed with other fairy tales, and I loved the magic, particularly Alyce's.

I do think my DNF was partially due to the audiobook narrator, but I just could not get into this story. I really wanted to love it since it’s been on my tbr for a while, but I didn’t care for the characters or the writing style.
I couldn’t figure out if Cal was going to be a mentor or a love interest, Alice just made dumb decisions and had inner thoughts that really grated me, and Aurora or whoever the princess was is so immature and unlikable to me I couldn’t carry on.
Additionally, the true loves kiss concept didn’t make sense to me. The princess is being kissed every day by different suitors and that’s supposed to prompt true loves kiss? No woo-ing or anything? It just didn’t mesh well.

This is one of those books that had me feeling all the feels, the good, the bad and the moment of "F**k it all and let it all burn"... I Highly recommend. I loved it.
