Okay this was such a fun ride! The format kept me intrigued. I kept going back and forth debating if the dead things were real or not and got really sad to find out Willow didn’t survive.

thoroughly enjoyed this book! the vibes hit. i love me some supernatural shit. the pacing and storytelling were great. i love jumping around in time and POVs and juliano nailed it. it flowed really well. this would have been a 5 star read, i just expected more from the ending. something more grand idk. but overall i really really liked it and will be reading more by juliano!

Absolutely loved this book. When people say they have a movie playing in their heads when they read a great book, that’s what this is. I found it hard to put down and wanting to know more and more of the characters journeys. I love how the author gives us an inside look to what more than one character is thinking, feeling, experiencing… and i’m definitely making sure my curtains are completely drawn each night. Couldn’t ask for a better scary novel.

Quick and easy to get into. The beginning was very engaging. I would have liked for the “90s” theme to be a stronger throughout.
This started strong but the ending blew it for me. Definitely inspired by The Village.
