Somehow he has managed to take an interesting concept and deliver it in the most boring way. When action finally did happen there was always some explanation scene that interrupted it and killed any sense of urgency. The interview bits were interesting, but they also remove the reader from any action. There was an identity crisis of whether we were going to investigate the present with Harper or investigate with Willow, to the point that if the chapters weren't labeled I wouldn't be able to tell you who the pov was until there was mention of "my son" or "my sister" and thankfully there weren't crossover roles in there. Some chapters read more like a screenplay with just conversation and nothing else, which got old quickly.

Overall kind of disappointing, I think it had a lot of potential.
