Angelo made this book for me. If it weren’t for him, I would’ve dnf’d bc of the bird name swear words..I get that it was supposed to be some sort of endearing quirk of Rory’s, but it was for sure annoying. A couple here and there would’ve been ok, but man did it get old quick. It was kinda cute in the end when her dad explains why he did it, not so much for Rory tho.
The angst and sexual tension is what kept me in a chokehold the entire time. The constant love/hate push and pull between these two, was written so well! I think the people that dnf’d early on because of the bird business, probably would’ve been hooked from the tension alone. If you can overlook it, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the story in it’s entirety.
I’m excited for the rest of the series because this was a promising start and I have a feeling this will definitely turn out to be a new favorite mafia series for me! Also—highly recommend the audio. Angelo’s narration could easily contribute to potential pregnancy tho, so take caution bc that’s one hot made man voice!

where was the sin? there is literally no way you can make an entire universe about this town and this be the first book.

Almost a 4
I read this book in about a day. I was hooked on the whole story. It a tad slow in the beginning but got faster.
I like these characters from the world. The whole lot of them. I am ready to get to see more of them in the next couple of books.

holy heck this was so good. I could have easily smashed this in one sitting because it just sucked me in. If I could find a man like Vicious who hates everyone but his brothers and me, that would be perfect.
